In seakeeping, we deliver hydrodynamic analysis for floating structures and vessels to determine motion characteristics and assess seakeeping properties. Our marine operations services offer expert analysis, strategic planning, and execution of marine operations, covering all temporary phases such as loadout, lift, and transportation. We provide in-depth analysis for stationkeeping of floating structures, including the design and analysis of both temporary and permanent mooring systems and dynamic positioning (DP) configurations. Additionally, we perform comprehensive stability and hydrostatic analyses, ensuring compliance with marine safety standards for both intact and damaged stability scenarios. We perform complex global and local FEM analyses for various offshore structures, ensuring design compliance and performance across all limit states. To verify an asset’s structural integrity throughout all project phases, we ensure longevity and safety. Our accidental analyses include structural accidental analyses and robustness evaluations, such as non-linear analysis for scenarios like collision, slamming, and progressive collapse. We also manage temporary offshore structure phases, including load-out, heavy intercontinental transport, seafastening, lifting, installation, and development of installation aids.
Consultancy Services
Engineering IDS provides marine advisory services, offering expert advice and technical support across diverse marine disciplines. We offer comprehensive support as part of, or in conjunction with, the client’s project team through our client representatives. Our project management services manage multidisciplinary projects from conceptual studies to new construction and significant unit conversions. We strategically plan and follow up on model testing programs for floating structures and collaborate on concept evaluation and development of conceptual ideas into firm solutions.
Architectural, Arrangement, and Layout
We develop arrangement proposals for entire floating structures, ensuring efficient and effective layouts. Our material handling studies and evaluations optimize the movement and storage of materials within the structure. We create layout proposals for technical areas, including engine rooms, utility rooms, propulsion rooms, control rooms, and bridges. Additionally, we design architectural arrangements for accommodation and technical areas, covering cabin layouts and accommodation area layouts. We also specify architectural requirements, room finishes, and inventory lists to meet project standards and client expectations.
Crane Services
Engineering IDS has qualified engineers to perform audits, provide acceptance certification, and conduct testing of critical equipment such as lifting appliances, including cranes, diving spreads, and ROV spreads. We can also design and upgrade existing offshore cranes, carry out risk assessments of crane operations, provide crane advisory services, third-party verification, and criticality analyses of various operations.
