heavy lift vessel

heavy lift vessel

The heavy lift vessel is 132 meters long and 90 meters wide, designed for versatility with operational draughts from 11 to 30 meters. It can accommodate up to 140 persons and features a main crane capable of lifting 2,000 metric tons at a hook height of 190m above sea level, with additional cranes for varied lifting capacities.

The vessel includes a 30-meter compensated Walk-to-Work telescopic gangway and can handle loads of 6,000 tons in operation and 5,000 tons in transit. With DP Class III certification, four generator groups, and one battery pack, it ensures 75% availability in single failure conditions.

With a variable deck load capacity, the vessel can carry 3 sets of turbines (nacelle and blades), each weighing approximately 1,000 Te in transit condition. In operational condition, it can lift one nacelle and three blades to the deck. The vessel’s VDL capacity is 4000 tons in operation condition (including hook load) and 3000 tons in transit condition.

The vessel’s station-keeping capabilities are ensured by DP Class III certification, featuring a 4-split configuration with four generator groups and one battery pack, guaranteeing 75% availability in single failure conditions. It is powered by four diesel generators, each providing 8.2 MWe, and four azimuth thrusters, each with a power of 6.5 MW, enabling the vessel to achieve a transit speed of approximately 12 knots.
